The challenge
Browns English Language School runs its courses for staff and students on its own web platform. Out-of-memory errors kept interrupting it, and static credentials in the setup were a security risk the school wanted gone.
What we built
Assembly moved the platform onto containers on AWS, sized the services to their real workload and switched access to AWS IAM roles.
What we delivered
The platform runs as containers on Amazon ECS, on a modernised foundation that is simpler to run.
Memory and compute set to what the services really use, which ended the out-of-memory errors.
Services get access through AWS IAM roles, so no static credentials sit in the setup.
